    environmental and agricultural problems aside, they’re just really fucking ugly in most cases

    they do have their place for sure, but looking at neverending stretches of perfect soullessness beyond horizons is just depressing, kind of reminds me of the “unrealistic hills and lonely houses” genre of liminal spaces…

      This is nightmarish to me. Like a windows startup screen, but a wasteland where all the ppl are gone.

        r/liminalspaces (and related subreddits) are one of the few reason I still need reddit tbh.

        Would be great if we had a similar community too

          yeah, it’s a great place, unfortunately a lot of it is deviating from the original meaning of liminal spaces, rather interpreting them as being equal to creepy and nostalgic photos, but those too are great

          what are some relates subs that you visit?

            I like r/TheNightFeeling too, for example. It’s kinda related, I guess? Different photos but they invoke a very similar feeling.

            There are a few similar ones that I can’t remember right now.
