The model revealed that when the size of the solar farm reaches 20% of the total area of the Sahara, it triggers a feedback loop.

Well. That is far more than any plan I have ever seen. So please don’t stop talking about building solar in the Sahara.

Edit:just for comparison. We need roughly 0,1% of the total area of the Sahara covered to create enough electricity for the whole world.

there is zero forms of energy that doesn’t damage the environment in some way

Problem is always the scale on which we want to transform the envirenvironment. Small scale wouldn’t be noticable, but large areas can be risky.

Same with everything else. We have much to learn and experiment how to support this amount of people sustainably.
